Mountain Bike Ride this Saturday, Village Creek

I think it's time for a new camera....but here's CoCo's new bike!
I'm dying to give it a spin.  We'll see if she wants to ride with
us too but if not, I 'm bringing this Specialized Myka out! :)
And I just realized we've reached a point in our lives that
we can wear the same clothes, same shoes and now same
bicycle....I hope she'll ride with us Saturday, I've got
David's Pro Flex which is great condition just in case!

There's a mountain bike ride slated for this Saturday at 2:30 at Village Creek, meet at the visitor's center parking lot.  Keep in mind that Adam at Village Creek has bikes to rent for you guys that don't have one!! Call him at 238-9406 to make your reservation.  I'm excited that I'll have Chloe's new bike out there, giving it a loop!  Plan on an hour or so ride, it gets dark early so we won't dilly dally.  I'll bring snacks and drinks for post ride social time.  Weather forecast is high of 56 and winds southwest at 9 mph.

We're running a long run at Stan's Sunday at 3 pm for those getting ready for the Little Rock Half.   See ya'll Saturday at the park!  (and I hope everyone's power stays on tonight with all this ice and low temps...I told Chloe I bet school's out for sure tomorrow cause of the buses...we'll see at 6 am!!) I will be leading a trail ride at the park on Saturday, at 12 p.m. everyone is invited. It will be an easy ride, I don’t want to wear anyone out for the race the next day. After the ride Gearhead will be here around 2 p.m. to start setting up the CX course and has asked for some volunteers to help with that project. What better way to learn the course then to help build it!

Okay ya'll!  We had an OUTSTANDING mountain bike ride today!  Many thanks to Adam Leslie for posting it and there was a GREAT crowd out today....I'm still gettin used to David's clip in pedals and my new Keen sandals.  Many thanks to Kyle for waiting on Jackie and I and to Denny Hess for being patient and witnessing my clumping in front of the horses.  Denny's got a new leg of the trail that's in the works for everyone, it is nice but super close to a creek and drop off and is single file.  Kyle called this "very technical, single track".  Just so you know CHUCK, I didn't take ONE photo today!  :)  See ya'll soon, Kara and I are both out of the biking routine over the next 2 weekends!  Keeli :)

Mountain bike ride this Sunday, village creek state park

Park Interpreter Adam will be hosting a mountain bike ride for the public at Village Creek State Park on Sunday the 19^th, at 3:00 p.m. We will meet at the Visitor Center Parking Lot. The ride will start out by riding a new section of trail that some local riders have cleaned up and put back into commission. It is a short section, but it is a little flowy and has a few cornering sections to get you ready for the big trail. If you enjoy it be sure to thank Denny, Darren, and Ryan for getting it back in riding condition. They have plans to do some more work on this section, so if you are interested in helping out talk to them during the ride. I hope to see you all there. -Adam Leslie
